Atikokan Centennial Museum

Not only is Atikokan the Canoeing Capital of Canada, we're the "Little Town That Could". Come visit the Atikokan Centennial Museum to find out what they mean. Learn about the mysterious disappearance of Atikokan's founder Tom Rawn. Who is the King of White Otter Castle? What was the Mercy Train? Why did our early settlers send their kids to jail? All this and more at the Atikokan Centennial Museum.
At our Historical Park we also have a collection of heavy equipment from our early logging, mining and railroad days. Our Shevlin-Clarke engine is one of only six surviving Lima Shay logging locomotives in Canada! See our "Mean Machine"! What is a Euclid anyways? Visit with our interpreters at our Log Cabin to learn more about our past!
We have new exhibits every year and we invite tourists and locals alike to come and take a trip down memory lane with us.
