Atikokan’s Adult Learning Centre is a non-profit, charitable, Board run, community based Literacy and Basic Skills program dedicated to helping all adults in our community improve their basic reading, writing and math skills in a supportive environment. We promote a learner-centred approach to academic upgrading and essential skills training for employment readiness. This means learners direct their own learning and set their own goals – both long term and short term.
Literacy upgrading for our adult residents and surrounding area includes one-on-one or small group tutoring with literacy, numeracy, resume development, communications, basic computers, workforce literacy and high school credit courses.
We help you discover the skills you have and the skills you need and set up a learning plan that is just for you!
We are:
-Free
-Confidential
-Goal-directed

-Flexible meeting times and places in your area One-on-One
