Bioheat Opportunities for Remote and Rural Communities Workshop

Delivered by the Biomass North Development Centre and on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry,this workshop will bring expertise, tools, and lessons-learned in bioheat project development, and give participants the connections and support they need to make informed decisions and develop their own projects. A mix of expert speakers, workshop exercises, and panels will provide a full scope of possibilities and insights regarding heating with solid biofuels. This workshop will provide participants with meaningful information to allow for enhanced decision-making regarding bioheat, with an emphasis on:

• Community energy planning with bioheat
• Technology applications and fuel types
• Legislations and regulations for heating with biofuels in Ontario
